Daron Doshier is an experienced educator passionate about child-led, nature-based learning. She is a certified Level 1 Forest School practitioner through the Forest School Institute and currently teaches first and second grade at The Decker School, a Forest School-inspired program where she integrates literacy, numeracy, and project-based learning with outdoor exploration. With a background in both public and private education, she has taught in elementary classrooms and preschool settings, always prioritizing curiosity-driven, hands-on learning. Her teaching philosophy draws from Waldorf, Montessori, Charlotte Mason, and Reggio Emilia approaches, fostering creativity, independence, and a deep connection to nature.
Daron also has a deep love for children’s literature and believes in the power of storytelling to inspire imagination, build empathy, and create meaningful connections between children and the world around them. As a mother, she brings these values into daily life with her daughters, A (6) and E (3), incorporating books, music, and outdoor adventures into their family rhythm. She sees travel as one of the most powerful ways for children to learn, offering real-world experiences that spark curiosity and cultural understanding.
Through Worldschooling Wildflowers, Daron helps families create meaningful travel experiences that balance adventure, education, and connection. When she isn’t teaching or traveling, she enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring new places with her family. She is excited to guide other families in discovering the joy of worldschooling and learning through real-world experiences.
Our Girls
Meet A, the Enchanting Explorer!
At six years old, A is a whirlwind of curiosity, creativity, and a touch of sparkle. She can often be found twirling through the kitchen, whipping up culinary masterpieces with Dad—because every meal is a grand adventure! When she's not cooking, she’s climbing trees, journeying to the magical realm of Unicorn Land, or curling up with a book (her favorite changes as often as the wind).
A’s heart soars whenever she hears Defying Gravity, and she dreams of soaring herself—to France for fancy pastries, China to walk the Great Wall of China, and Antarctica because… penguins! She’s a dedicated Spanish learner, a tea party connoisseur, and the reigning queen of Monday Poetry Readings. With a rose in her hand and a story in her heart, A is ready to take on the world—one magical moment at a time.
Meet E, the Daffodil Dreamer!
At three years old, E is a bundle of sunshine, twirls, and pure joy! Whether she’s dancing to Dance Mode, singing Irish Eyes, or belting out DJ Play a Christmas Song (no matter the season!), she’s always ready to turn any moment into a party.
E adores books—especially anything starring Maisy the mouse—and can often be found creating masterpieces out of play dough. Her world is one of magic and make-believe, where fancy dresses, sparkly shoes, and playing "family" are part of everyday life. On Mondays, she delights in tea time and poetry, adding an extra sprinkle of elegance to the week.
A true lover of warm weather, E firmly believes it’s always shorts-and-sandals season, no matter what the thermometer says! And when she’s not scooting around, she’s twirling like a daffodil in the breeze—bright, joyful, and always ready for the next adventure!
